You know, I'll say it again and again and again, there are truly kind, caring and decent people in both parties who have the best of intentions.* Probably most people in both parties are fine people. But the parties just seem to pervert the fine actions of decent people into naked and partisan acts which are less about what is Constitutional and helpful to the people than what benefits the parties.
* The best of intentions, though, can result in impotent actions or actions inimical to intentions. We can't settle for good intentions.
Here is her campaign website: www.MaryLazich.com (notice that it opens immediately on a page seeking money, asking for a contribution of money). This is to say when I typed "www.MaryLazich.com" into my address line I was redirected to the below which is a screen capture; an appeal for donations of money.
One might presume several things about this redirection to a naked appeal for money. I'll explore several...
1. She's in the mood to collect some money.
2. It's pretty tough to win elective office without money. (I'm spending ONLY on this website and accepting NO donations.)
3. There are reasons to ask for money from some people whom you will represent: a.) getting some of it back to them b.) working on legislation that is favored by those who donate.
Let us STRIVE to be fair because being fair is the only path to what is better. Smarter people than I have observed that [our system is so very corrupt that] "money is the mother's milk of politics." It is truly unfortunate but this is what we get when we allow our government to become our nanny when we allow ourselves to be occupied with other, truly less unimportant things. Well I don't want a nanny telling me how to conduct myself, do you?
I defer to- and consent to- God and the organic Constitution of the united States of America. What conflicts with these, to the best of my ability to understand them, I reject as I am able.
Rather than a clear and unequivocal explanation of her stand on the issues or philosophy of government,
